Lewis and GLM Books were excited to be invited by Teresa Winte, Lower School teacher at Claremont Preparatory School to be a part of their literature program.
Located in Financial District, Claremont is the first independent, privately-owned, nonsectarian school below Canal Street. It accommodates grades Pre-kindergarten through 8 and plans to add Claremont High School, September 2009.

Lewis was a guest speaker in Ms. Winte's class. He read to the class from the new book for which he is the illustrator, "Crazy Old Aunt Helen," and he helped organize and edit an anthology of the students' writing and art. He and GLM Books published appr. 25 copies of the anthology for the students and their families. He also donated copies of "Ice Cream Dreams" to the students in the class as well as Claremont's library. "Ice Cream Dreams" is an anthology of poetry by award-winning author/illustrator Karla Kuskin, for which he is also the illustrator.
Lewis hopes to see some of the students involved in the field of publishing sometime in the future.
